This was one of our biggest projects, having received Arts Council Funding we turned an indoor market stall into a vintage cinema in Wood Street E17.
Welcome to the Bureau! Here you met Des Change, who along with a variety of staff you could change sex, spirit or species. Visitors to the booth were given a story and a moustache, makeover, nose and whiskers or a shot of vodka. Along with a whole dose of silliness and a pocketful of change.
As part of Secret Garden Party we had our very own Birthday Party Tent. Anyone entering out tent were treated to their very own birthday party, come rain or shine! With high octane klezmer music, party poppers, custard shots and pie faces our birthday troupe were there to make sure the celebrations never ended!
This was our first show at Wood Street Indoor Market, Walthamstow. Inspired by the closure of the Walthamstow dog tracks, we wanted to give people one last night at the dogs. Commissioned by Write By Numbers, we turned the market unit into a dog track. Audiences encountered a bookie, an unsuccessful gambler, a greyhound, the worlds best dog trainer, the queen of the track and an elderly couple who met at the dogs. Using music, puppetry & silly characters we created a fun show for all.
